DR. LAURENCE CHEEVERS
Dr. Laurence Cheevers joined BSDC in May, 1972. Since then he has made it his goal to create a complete family dental practice encompassing the most modern and up to date equipment and knowledge. Dr. Cheevers has been inducted as a Fellow of both the American and the International College of Dentists. He has been recognized for his contributions to the advancement of dentistry, his leadership and excellence as a professional.
In addition to his dental practice, he was a Chief of Forensic Odontology for the province from 1973-1998. Dr. Cheevers is one of four Canadian dentists recognized as a Diplomat by the American Academy of Forensic Sciences. Both the Canadian and British Columbia College of Dentists have acknowledged his community and personal contribution on behalf of the profession. A graduate of University College Dublin, Dr. Cheevers practiced in Ireland, England and South Africa before immigrating to Canada in 1971.
Dr. Cheevers is a passionate golfer, is married to Bernice and they have two daughters.
