DR. ARDEN YOUNG
Born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Dr. Arden Young was three years into a Biological Sciences degree when she decided to follow in her grandfather’s footsteps and pursue a career in dentistry. Always interested in medicine and wanting to directly make a difference in the community, dentistry gave her an opportunity to pursue these passions. After experiencing first-hand how an improved smile can boost confidence and self-image, she wanted to share this with others.
Receiving her degree in Dentistry from the University of Alberta in 2010, Dr. Young then packed her bags and moved to Vancouver to participate in the General Practice Residency program through UBC. This gave her a range of experiences from working with orphans in Vietnam to earning her certificate to practice dentistry using IV sedation. Falling in love with Vancouver, Dr. Young was thrilled to join Broadway Station Dental Centre and have a reason to stay in this beautiful city.
Still early in her career, Dr. Young is excited by all areas of general dentistry. She loves meeting new patients and finds helping her youngest patients through their first dental visits especially rewarding. As a member of Vancouver and District Dental Society, she takes Continuing Education courses to keep up to date with the changing technology and new methods and ideas.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Young enjoys skiing, yoga, playing guitar, baking banana bread and traveling. She loves anything outdoors, and can often be found running on the seawall as she trains for another half marathon.
